Master Diver Class #5

Seminar Topics:  Diving Physiology (Chapter 4) and Decompression Theory (Chapter 5)

NAUI Master Diver is the highest non-leadership rating offered by the National Association of Underwater Instructors.

In this classroom session we will complete our discussion on how our body is effected by our visits to our our underwater world and continue with the related topic of decompression and recompression theories. The study of decompression effects is a fascinating aspect of diving. The complexity and unknowns of the physics and physiology are challenging to anaylzye and exact questions to decompression questions remain. As a result, there are different theories and tables around the world.

It is important to understand the background of some of these theories so that appropriate techniques can be employed for your diving situations. We will also review the theory and use of dive table and dive computers used by the modern day diver.
