SSI Navigation

 Getting lost underwater is never fun and in some situations may increase the risks a diver faces. Good navigational skills are important to help ensure a diver’s enjoyment and safety, yet the average diver today will admit that underwater navigation is a skill that eludes them. 

It doesn’t have  to be that way! Underwater navigation is truly quite easy once you understand how to use tools like a compass, how to measure distances underwater and how to even use the natural world around you to guide you back home!  

In this program we will review skills and equipment necessary to navigate underwater. We will follow up the classroom with at least 2 dives in the open water where the student gets to apply and practice the art of navigation in the real world. Upon completion of the classroom and open water dives you will earn your SSI Navigation certification.*
