Visual Cylinder Inspector
Professional Scuba inspectors (PSI) has been training cylinder inspectors for over 2 decades. The company is the undisputed leader in education for cylinder safety and inspection protocols. PSI training is recognized around the world including by the US and Canadian governments, all scuba training agencies, government agencies, and fire departments. Our goal as a PSI trained inspector is a zero cylinder failure rate. We will achieve this goal through education and the promotion of a proper inspection protocol. The core Cylinder Inspector Program is a six to eight hour program that focuses on the 18 step PSI Inspection Protocol and related safety material. Participants will learn the proper inspection procedures for all types of cylinders including solid wall steel, solid wall aluminum and composite wrap cylinders.
No prior training or experience is required prior to attending this program. Minimum age is 18 years of age for certification as a PSI VCI Inspector. All equipment and tools required for training are provided by the instructor.
Tuition: $275 for first time candidates in a PSI Cylinder Inspector program. Tuition includes the PSI Cylinder Inspector textbook, student workbook, training and certification as a PSI Visual Cylinder Inspector. Certification is valid for three years.
Previously certified PSI Inspectors may renew certification by completing either refresh training at a reduced tuition or by attending an annual update seminar.
