Master Diver Class #6

Seminar Topics: Deep Diving Techniques (Chapter 10) and Technical Diving (Chapter 11)

NAUI Master Diver is the highest non-leadership rating offered by the National Association of Underwater Instructors.

In this session we will focus on the skills, equipement and planning necessary for dives between 60 to 130 fsw. Deep dives differ from shallower dives with respect to temperature changes, breathing resistance, reduced light, possible narcosis, additional buoyancy adjustments and anxiety.

In the second part of this session we will also explore the world of technical diving. Dives outside of the typical "recreational" dive limits are often referred to as "technical diving", but that doesn't always mean deep or hours of dive time. Students will walk away with a better understanding of what technical diving is all about and what is required to of the divers who choose to swim down this path.
